ESSMANN® pyramid-shaped HDS protection system for an ESSMANN skylight dome type 810, can be used as sun protection, fall-through protection until the warranty expires and beyond that, if regular maintenance is performed (in line with the principle testing requirements of the German building trade association GS-Bau-18, test mark 05040 issued by the trade association), additional hail protection (for the skylight dome glazing) and "intruder-resistant" (in accordance with DIN EN 18106 WK1), consisting of a diamond-shaped, perforated aluminium sheet (natural aluminium, blank), that is screwed onto the skylight dome to form a pyramid shape.
A light to dark grey, oxidic layer may form on the surface of the sheet as a result of exposure/moisture: this will not impair the function of the component.
