ESSMANN® HDS protection system for arcade rooflight systems, can be used as sun protection, hard roofing (in accordance with DIN 4102, Part 7), fall-through protection until the warranty expires and beyond that, if regular maintenance is performed (in line with the principle testing requirements of the German building trade association GS-Bau-01, DIN 4426-1, test mark 03027 issued by the trade association), additional hail protection (for the arcade rooflight structure), significant reduction in structure-borne noise during precipitation (e.g. rain or hail) and intruder-resistant (in accordance with DIN EN 18106 WK1).
Consists of a diamond-shaped, perforated aluminium sheet (natural aluminium, blank), that is screwed onto the arcade rooflight structure at a distance of around 60 mm with the aid of aluminium mounting rails. A light to dark grey, oxidic layer may form on the surface of the sheet as a result of exposure/moisture: this will not impair the function of the component.
