ESSMANN spouts and overflows

Spouts have proved very useful in the field when it comes to draining enclosed small roofs, balconies, etc. off to the side. This type of drainage means that internal drainpipes are not required.
Emergency overflows provide flat roofs with emergency drainage that comes into play if the storm of the century occurs (although this is unlikely to happen, plans must still be in place to deal with it).

ESSMANN spouts type A
are installed in small areas that are to be drained (such as balconies or terraces) and that are surrounded by a fascia or parapet. This design means that internal drainpipes are not required. It is manufactured in sizes DN 50, DN 70, DN 100 and DN 125. These products feature a sloped pipe (5°).

The gully body and its flange are designed in such a way that roof sheeting can be connected to them directly and uniformly. All sizes, DN 50, DN 70, DN 100 and DN 125, are free to drain onto the surrounding land.

These standard nominal sizes can also be connected to a drainpipe.

Spout type A is available with a pipe length of 480 mm or 700 mm, in an elastomer bitumen version with a membrane collar.

The gully body and its flange are designed in such a way that roof sheeting can be connected to them directly and uniformly.

All four sizes, DN 50, DN 70, DN 100 and DN 125, are free to drain onto the surrounding land. The standard nominal sizes can be connected to an additional drainpipe that is free to drain onto the premises.

Emergency overflow type A is available with a pipe length of 495 mm or 700 mm.

The gully body and its flange are designed in such a way that roof sheeting can be connected to them directly and uniformly (for connection options, see the relevant table). The size DN  150 is free to drain onto the surrounding land.

The standard nominal sizes can be connected to an additional drainpipe that is free to drain onto the premises.

ESSMANN rectangular spouts
are installed in small areas that are to be drained off the side (such as balconies or terraces) and that are surrounded by a fascia or parapet. This design means that internal drainpipes are not required. The rectangular shape of the drain hole means that much larger volumes of water can be drained off than is possible with comparable round designs.
These products feature a sloped outlet (5°).

PVC, PEC and VAE roof sheeting can be connected to the PVC flange directly and uniformly. With a U-PVC or PP flange for connecting plastic roof sheeting.

All sizes are free to drain onto the surrounding land.

ESSMANN U-PVC damming rings
are used with an additional roof gully to provide emergency drainage. The additional roof gully is positioned at the water-bearing level. The edge of the damming ring collects the falling water, which is only drained via the additional roof gully if extremely large amounts of water are involved, i.e. if the storm of the century occurs. This roof gully must be connected to a separate pipe that is free to drain onto the surrounding land.
