The aeration and ventilation of multi-storey buildings where the air has to travel long distances or buildings requiring superior air quality can frequently only be achieved using ventilators. With mechanical aeration and ventilation systems it is extremely important that the volume of air actually required is determined with the utmost precision. The motto is:
As much air as is required, right where it is really needed. This is the only way to reduce energy costs to an absolute minimum. Our specialist field consultants perform a range of ventilation measurements that are used to create an as-is analysis. The results of this analysis form the basis of our ventilation concept, which always maintains a strong focus on economic considerations.
ESSMANN ventilators extract stale air, whilst allowing fresh air to flow into the building at the same time. ESSMANN offers a range of attractive models for installation in walls or ceilings. Designs featuring a duct system, automatic cover flaps or soundproofing are also available, as are versions that are integrated into an arcade rooflight. They consist of a corrosion-resistant aluminium housing. Stale air is blown out through cover flaps that open and close automatically and that are covered to protect them from the weather when at a standstill.
All parts that are subject to mechanical stress are made of galvanised sheet steel. The motor is completely separated from the extracted air flow and cooled by ambient air. A heat insulating coating is applied to the motor housing section. |

ESSMANN roof control centres are of a modular design (mixing chamber, filter chamber, damper register, etc.) and can be produced in whatever combination is required.
They can be used as fresh/extracted air equipment for mechanical aeration and ventilation. For installation on roofs or integration in ESSMANN arcade rooflights. The roof control centre is a decentralised element that mixes the fresh air sucked in from outside with the ambient air, cools or heats the mixed air, and then guides it directly to the working areas via blow-out or duct systems as required. A weatherproof design is available for outdoor use. |

ESSMANN fabric channel systems are ideally suited to providing draught-free and uniform air distribution. With an air discharge speed of below 0.2 m/s in relation to the entire surface, they create a pleasant environment within the building. ESSMANN polyester channel systems also repel dirt, oil and water, are easy to wash and can eventually be recycled, so are environmentally friendly. Other benefits offered by fabric channel systems: flame retardant, no condensation of water and easy to clean. Available in various colours for optimum customisation.
A special version, the perforated, injected air channel, is also available if really specific air distribution needs must be met. These air channels consist of an air-impermeable fabric with holes punched at certain positions throughout the air channel, depending on exactly how the air needs to be distributed. This enables air to be distributed in a targeted manner to specific areas within rooms that are subject to particular air requirements, for example. Perforated, injected channel systems are primarily suited to use in the industrial sector. The system works best in large rooms and halls with a ceiling height of over 4 m and one of its defining features is the fact that air does not need to undergo much pre-filtration. The air channels are fitted with zips to make installation and dismantling easy. |

ESSMANN metal channel systems are suitable for use as fresh and extracted air channel systems and as de-smoking channels for the fumes that are released in the event of a fire. The channel systems are made of strong, galvanised sheet steel/aluminium or stainless steel, on request. Additional components such as elastic nozzles, suction and blow-out grids, fire protection, de-smoking and regulating flaps, and other accessories also form part of the ESSMANN product range. |
